Technology behind
Built-In Energy

Voltocrete transforms traditional concrete into a heat-generating material. It merges structure and energy — creating durable, maintenance-free, and sustainable heating directly within the building envelope.
[Proven Performance]
Tested. Certified. Reliable.
Voltocrete’s technology has undergone extensive testing to ensure both electrical and structural reliability. Laboratory and real-scale prototypes confirm its consistent performance, durability, and safety under various conditions.

[HOW IT WORKS]
Heating at the Material Level
At the core of Voltocrete’s innovation lies the Joule heating effect — a simple yet powerful physical principle.

By introducing conductive carbon- and metal-based fillers into a silicate concrete matrix, the material becomes electrically active. When micro-voltage electricity flows through it, heat is generated uniformly within the structure itself.
Detailed information
This process eliminates the need for separate heating elements, drastically simplifying installation and reducing potential failure points. Since the heat is produced throughout the entire concrete mass, energy transfer is direct, efficient, and long-lasting.

Voltocrete operates safely below 48 V, meeting modern low-voltage standards and enabling compatibility with renewable energy systems and smart building controls.

The technology’s modularity also enables application flexibility: Voltocrete can be integrated during construction or applied later as a thin plaster layer for retrofitting existing buildings.

Life cycle - CO2 emission
Voltocrete is designed with sustainability in mind — from its composition to its operation. By replacing additional materials like pipes, mats, and adhesives, it reduces both embodied carbon and construction waste.
Detailed information
The use of industrial by-products as fillers supports recycling and circular economy principles. When installed, Voltocrete’s direct heating mechanism minimizes heat loss, lowering energy consumption compared to conventional systems. Its low operational voltage allows seamless integration with solar and smart-grid energy systems.
