[HOW IT WORKS]
Heating at the Material Level
At the core of Voltocrete’s innovation lies the Joule heating effect — a simple yet powerful physical principle.

By introducing conductive carbon- and metal-based fillers into a silicate concrete matrix, the material becomes electrically active. When micro-voltage electricity flows through it, heat is generated uniformly within the structure itself.
Detailed information
This process eliminates the need for separate heating elements, drastically simplifying installation and reducing potential failure points. Since the heat is produced throughout the entire concrete mass, energy transfer is direct, efficient, and long-lasting.

Voltocrete operates safely below 48 V, meeting modern low-voltage standards and enabling compatibility with renewable energy systems and smart building controls.

[TECHNOLOGY]

Technology that heats itself

The Voltocrete heating system is a concrete-based material enhanced with conductivity-increasing additives that allow the structure itself to generate heat. Unlike conventional heating systems, Voltocrete does not rely on circulating fluids, piping, or electrical heating cables. The heating function is fully integrated into the concrete layer.

The system operates at extra-low voltage, ensuring a high level of electrical safety, and is compatible with both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) power supplies. Heat is distributed evenly across the entire concrete surface, eliminating hotspots and mechanical wear.

What makes Voltocrete unique is its ability to combine the functions of a building’s energy system with its structural or finishing elements. This integration reduces system complexity, minimizes maintenance requirements, and enables long-lasting, reliable heating solutions for buildings, infrastructure, and public spaces.
Voltocrete offers freedom in design and application: like fresh concrete, it can be shaped before setting. What makes it different is that it can be later drilled or cut without losing functionality.

Even cracks in the structure do not compromise its performance, as electrical current simply bypasses damaged areas.

Containing no liquids or mechanical components, the system is exceptionally durable and requires virtually no maintenance. Its service life is comparable to that of the building’s load-bearing structure itself, ensuring long-term reliability.
By placing the heating elements fillers onlywhere heating is required and displacing only other forms of concrete,Voltocrete increases minimally theenvironmental footprint of the construction while delivering significant costsavings.

Installation requires no specialized labor, unlike complex hydronic or heat pump systems, reducing both upfront and lifecycle costs.

With rapid response times and infrared radiation, Voltocrete quickly creates and sustains thermal comfort, improving energy efficiency and accelerating return on investment in a labor-constrained construction market.
Voltocrete not only supports sustainable construction by incorporating industrial by-products, but it also broadens the range of heating applications.

Beyond residential and industrial buildings, it can serve in processes such as preheating pools, drying areas, or even outdoor de-icing surfaces. Its multifunctionality, recyclability, and compatibility with renewable energy sources position it as a future-ready solution for diverse infrastructure needs.
